Caution: Irrational Whining Makcik Ahead

I was invited to an ex-schoolmate wedding. The wedding reception is this coming Sunday. Tapi hati ni rasa berat nak pergi. Oh, don't get me wrong..I have nothing against The Couple, I am happy for them. Very nice people. It's just that I don't feel like meeting certain individuals (ex-schoolmates) at the wedding. These individuals always make me feel 'small'..not in professional success or material kinda way. But you know, I feel v.v. uncomfortable around them. Like at certain point I didn't go out to 'ngeteh' session with other friends if I knew that these certain individuals would be there. And I know that some friends back in high school always feel reluctant to go to reunions, weddings or ngeteh session because they feel the same way as I do (ok, makcik speku jek yg ni heheh).

I happened to bump into these individuals at another ex-schoolmate wedding abt a year back...at the end of the reception I almost maki these individuals, thanks Heaven I could shut my mouth just in time and got in the car as quickly as possible. Or else, I will be known as that girl yg mencarut at a wedding.

So this weekend, from what I have gathered, these individuals will be there. We are bound to sit at the same table and I am sure I will be squirming on my seat. It is pretty childish to feel this way after 13 years. It is almost irrational to succumb to that feeling. Sungguh tak merdeka ok. But, but..until now they do emit that certain aura/vibe (more like verbal lashing, nasty laugh) like they did back in high school!

Oh well, it makes me think, maybe we can go as far as we want, be whoever we want to be, change our life and all, but deep inside at the dark corner of our consciousness, we are still very much that 17 years old.

Maybe I should datang a bit lambat to the wedding. That should solve the problem.

Meeting is About 10 People Who Couldnt't Think of a Solution but Can only Create More Problem

I survived a 3-hours-no-break meeting today.
The meeting started at 11.30 am and ended at 2.30 pm. No lunch was provided, so thank God for Kopitiam. Sometime during the meeting, it suddenly occurred to me that maybe watching Siti's TV interview for 3 straight hours will be more bearable than sitting in this meeting. Her latest song Destinasi Cinta is not that bad. Very Celine Dion. Hmm, I thought I hated Celine Dion and also that Alien woman, Sigourney Weaver. Oh, do you guys remember that one episode from Friends (yeah, I know that Friends is so yesterday...but just bear with me now). Anyways, it was the episode where Rachel has a thing with her assistance Tag. The cute and very much 25years old Tag. I just realized that he is one of the actors in CSI NY. He plays Detective Don Flack. His hair style was a bit different...tu yg makcik tak perasan. I've always love that hairstyle of Catherine Willows from CSI Las Vegas. I don't mind dating Grissom either. Horatio tu suxx kan.

Oh well, my thoughts on Monday can be very keji.

How's your Monday?
p/s: Project Runway Malaysia made its debut 2 weeks ago. Jgn lupa tengok!

Nasty Girl

About a month ago, I went to Qilah's school for her Hari Ibu Bapa. Arwah Ayah wasn't always big on Hari Ibu Bapa. He never attended any of my hari Ibu Bapa. I don't really know why la. But since Qilah is anak bongsu Ayah and Ibu, he always made a point to go. Now I am continuing his tradition. But there was one time that Ayah attended my Hari Ibu Bapa. I was in Form 3 at that time. Kot sebut nama sekolah pun korang tak percaya la kot haha.

Well, an incident happened few weeks before the Hari Ibu Bapa. I sucked at Bahasa Arab. Like super sucks. I survived the three years of school by copying my friend's homework and memorizing verse after verse after verse of arabic essays. So, nak jadik cerita, makcik sudah terkantoi for copying someone else's homework. The Ustazah marah2 and all then she asked me to berdiri atas kerusi. Makcik being kurang ajar and all buat muka keji la atas kerusi. So, the Ustazah halau makcik keluar kelas and kena berdiri la pulak kat koridor. You see, I was in a sekolah that sort of co-ed but not really co-ed. The boys' classrooms were in ground floor and first floor. While the girls' classrooms were in the second floor. Boys would use one route from their hostel to school, and the girls would use different route. The dewan makan was separated by thick curtains. The boys would go to the library during afternoon prep and the girls would go during evening prep. Padang for PE pun lain2. On sukan day, the boys would organize theirs on Saturday and the girls would organize theirs on Sunday. You get the picture, like the boys and girls will never bump into each other. If we did bumped into each other, both would have to merendahkan pandangan mata. Pergh la kan!

So the fact that I was asked to stand at the coridor...sangat la sadis because the boys from the lower floors could see me. Eventhough makcik tebal muka, still I was 15 yr old anak dara then..malu la. While standing at the corridor ntah macam mana ustazah tu tak jugak hilang marah, she threw my workbook from the 2nd floor. Bedebub jatuh buku tu kat ground floor. The ustazah asked me to get my workbook that she threw. By then, lots of boys dah start keluar kat koridor to see what the hell happened (hey, I would too hehe). So makcik pun pegila turun and pick up the book. Then bila naik atas, Ustazah tu suruh pulak makcik berdiri kat tiang bendera tempat assembly. That was the route that the boys would take when they went back to their hostel from school. And it was 12.45pm. Panas giller makcik kena berdiri kat tiang bendera tu. Honestly, I was more angry towards the teacher than feeling embarassed. 1 pm, I was still there while streams of boys balik ke hostel and lalu that area. You wouldn't believe the sneer, the jeer, kena gelak and all.

I cried when I called Ayah that evening. Ayah couldn't believe it at first. For him setakat rotan ke apa, biasala kan. He wouldn't complaint coz dia pun ada gak rotan makcik hehehe. But for Ayah, what the ustazah did was a huge humiliation for a 15 year old girl that he actually came to my Hari Ibu Bapa to ask (not to complaint, yet) the Ustazah what really happened. My Cikgu Kelas was shocked too when we told her about the incident. When we confronted the Ustazah, she admitted it. Ayah pun tak cakap banyak sebab it was true that makcik copied homework orang. So when I received my SRP results, Ayah immedietly agreed with me to transfer to Sains Muar hehe.

See, takde la pulak kitaorg nak heboh pegi Kementerian or contact TV3 nak complain kan.

Unlike the recent development of cikgu rotan budak cikgu yg kena balik, budak cekik cikgu, cikgu jugak yg kena balik. I think budak2 sekarang ni agak lembik la. Baru kena sikit dah heboh report sana sini. Kesian cikgu2 zaman sekarang. A few friends from Sains Muar last time had it worse when they were caught bullying other students. Tapi tuh la, berani buat berani tanggung la kan.

Cikgu suruh senyap kau tak nak senyap. Bila cikgu denda, kau nak lawan balik cikgu tu. Bila kena buang sekolah...heboh la masuk TV cakap tak adil apa semua.

Apa punya perangai la kan.
